Nasal fractures are the most common types of facial fractures. However they are often unrecognized and untreated at the time of injury. Most nasal fractures involve the septum, which can be an obstacle to successful reduction.
Some signs and symptoms include: pain and tenderness around the nose area, swelling of the nose, bleeding from the nose, bruising around your nose or eyes, crooked or misshapen nose, difficulty breathing through nose, discharge of mucus from nose, and feeling that one or both of you nasal passages are blocked.
You should go see a doctor when you've experienced: a head or neck injury, have difficulty breathing, bleeding cant stop, a noticeable change in shape, or clear water fluid draining from your nose.
